How To Use Scotch Tape For The Perfect Eyeliner Application

All girls know that mastering the art of a perfect cat-eye eyeliner application takes a lot of skill and dedication. I for one don't have the patience to sit in front of the mirror with a steady hand and try to create a perfectly straight line with a perfect wing tip at the end without looking like a newbie.

Until I saw this....

This blew my mind. I have absolutely no clue how people come up with these sorts of things. However, I love it! I can't get enough of kooky make-up application tips that totally boggle the mind, but seem to work wonders!

DIY Holidays

I am getting tired of the traditional small colored indoor lights that everyone seems to string around their living rooms every Christmas. I looked all over the internet for some fun and flashy alternatives that i could rig up on my own at home. I am so pleased with what I found!

Materials Needed: corsage boxes, string of lights, scissors, wire or pipe cleaners to fasten, wire cutters, cellophane rolls in different colors, tape
Step 1: Cut a piece of cellophane about 18x 18″.
Step 2: Wrap the string of lights in the cellophane piece making sure you leave the beginning and end of the string out so it can connect to your power source and/or the next piece of candy. This will create the “crackle” of the candy.
Step 3: Put the package of lights into the corsage box and secure it closed.

Step 4: Wrap a larger piece of cellophane around the corsage box making sure there’s enough left over on each end to create the candy shape. Tape it close on one side.
Step 5: Using the wire or pipe cleaners, twist to secure at each end of each side of the corsage box.
Step 6: Leave a few lights in between each “piece” of candy and then repeat until the strand runs out. Use as many strands as you’d like for the space you intend to use.
Step 7: Plug in and watch your candy come alive!

Pan Am Inspired Style

ABC's new show to premier this September called Pan Am is buzzing with style. The show follows the stewardesses and pilots as they jet set across the world in the beginning of the 1960's, when travel meant glamour.

Fur

The fur trend is pretty big this year. I for one am a sucker for a mink sole or a fur collared jacket. Wearing the real deal is almost always out of budget, so here are some budget friendly alternatives:

Leslie Oschmann - Swarm

Leslie Oschmann who is a New Yorker based in Amsterdam seeks out vintage furniture in flea markets and antique shops, which she painstakingly covers with sections of original oil paintings.

Oschmann , whose business is called Swarm has, until now, sold her work only to the Philidelphia based clothing and decor store chain Anthropologie, and by word of mouth to private clients.

Le Labo

Niche perfume line Le Labo established in 2006, is known for blending the essential oils with alcohol and water and providing customized labels for the bottles at the time of purchase to create a finished fragrance. The process is designed to take about 10 minutes. By keeping the essential oils refrigerated and blending at the very last minute, Le Labo ensures that the fragrance is fresh at the time of purchase.

Initial releases in early 2006 were Fleur d’Oranger 27Iris 39Bergamote 22Rose 31Vetiver 46Patchouli 24 and Neroli 36. In each case, the number in the fragrance name refers to the number of notes that make up the scent’s composition, and the name is taken from the ingredient in the highest concentration; to take one example, Jasmin 17 has 17 ingredients, with jasmine being in the highest concentration. The names are thus not necessarily related to what the fragrance is meant to smell like.
